How Does it Work?

Blueair Smokestop Air Cleaners use a revolutionary combination of advanced filter media and an encapsulated ion particle charging chamber that makes it possible for the Blueair air purification system to achieve better results than either mechanical or electrostatic technology alone. They use a non-toxic polypropylene filter that contains millions of ultra-thin fibers that trap tiny particles as they pass through the pleats. Blueair Air Cleaners eliminate bacteria, viruses and mold naturally, without chemical additives and also capture more dirt than competitive systems.

Using a patented 3-Stage HEPASilent™ Technology, the Blueair air cleaner captures 99.97% of particles down to .01 microns in size, considered the most harmful to your health as they can be absorbed into your lungs and into your bloodstream to cause a whole list of problems.

The Blueair Air Cleaner works by:

1. Pulling air in through the backside of the unit
2. Passing it through the pre-filter where larger particles are captured
3. Then passing it through the electrostatic HEPA filter to capture ultra-tiny particles down to .3 microns in size
4. The activated carbon filter absorbs contaminants through carbon pellets set within the honeycomb structure of the progressive filters
5. The air then travels into the ionizing chamber where it becomes heavily charged with negative ions.
6. Fresh, clean, negatively charged air is then released through the top of the purifier to "search out" unwanted pollutants in your home or office space.
7. Once the negative ions find impurities, they collide with them, effectively give them a charge and when they pass through the air purifier again, more easily cling to the electrostatic filter thereby reducing the air pollutants by 99.97% down to 0.01 microns in size.

The 3-Stage progressive filtration allows larger particles to get caught first and smaller particles to get caught later thereby reducing the chances of the fine particle filter fibers getting clogged with large particles. Blueair filters use millions of ultra thin fibers that get progressively tighter throughout the filter media. This allows for effective removal of even the tiniest particles by the time the air has reached the end filter.

5-Year Warranty

Within the first 30 days of purchase Blueair will replace the defective unit at no charge to you and reimburse any shipping charges. After 30 days, Blueair's obligation and liability under this Limited Warranty is limited to repairing or replacing (at its sole discretion) the defective unit and paying the freight cost of returning the unit to you. The Limited Warranty does not cover replacement filters.
