History of the IQAir

Started in 1963 by two German brothers, IQAir has remained at the front line of air purification research and development for over 45 years and are today an international, Swiss-based industry leader in the market of hygiene air purification. Manfred and Klaus created a simple filter for use in German homes to help reduce the amount of black coal build-up on the walls, however, by trapping the fine particles given off by coal burning stoves, Manfred noticed (as well as many other allergy and asthma sufferers) that it helped reduce the lung problems he had from the constant exposure to these harmful particles.

This is actually the first household air filter ever created. Soon after, the brothers designed other filters to adapt to baseboard heaters, radiators, etc..
