How Does It Work?

The Mammoth Air Purifier draws air in through the front of the purifier and passes it through a series of high grade filters:

1. The prefilter is designed to capture the largest particles like dust and large pollen to preserve the life of the other filters.
2. Next, the air passes through the High Efficiency HEPA Filter which is the most effective type of filter recommended by the Homeland Security and other reputable agencies. This HEPA filter is washable and also replaceable every 6 to 12 months.
3. The Activated Carbon filter then absorbs odors, smoke and chemicals from the air before passing it along to the photocatalytic filter.
4. This PC filter is coated with titanium dioxide, an effective catalyst used to produce highly reactive ions when used in combination with UV light which happens to be the next step.
5. The reaction from the Photocatalytic filter and the UV light creates a blanket of ions that attach to bacteria, smoke odors and other odor-causing compounds and render then inactive.
6. Lastly, the negative ion generator and ozone plate releases negative ions and ozone into the space to kill unwanted bacteria, germs and odors from the air and surface.
