How Does it Work?

The Nautic Air Purifiers work by combining UV Light with Titanium Dioxide, thereby creating a photcatalytic reaction that releases a blast of hydroxal radicals into there patent-peding PolarClear™ chamber. These hydroxal radicals attack the unwanted contaminants by breaking down there cell walls over and over again until completely dissolved into trace amounts of water and carbon dioxide.

In addition to this PCO technology, the Nautic Air also uses Polarized Filtration to remove tiny sub-micron particles and Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's) down to 0.0001 microns in size! When air passes through your air purification system, it becomes polarized. As the particles become polarized, they attach to each other to become larger particles which are then captured by the disposable low-static polarized media pad with an activated charcoal center screen.

Air Purifiers using polarized media are impressive at reducing 70-90% of particles down to 0.0001 microns in size. The carbon filters also absorb odors and VOC’s and actually increase in efficiency over time! The reason for this phenomenon is called agglomeration.

The process of agglomeration helps sub particles bond to one another through polarization thereby creating larger particles as they collide in the air. As they increase in size, they are captured by the Nautic Air Cleaner and retained in the disposable filter preventing them from passing through the air purifier to return back into your air stream.

Filters with an applied electric field, such as a polarized-media electronic air cleaners, have a lower pressure drop than the filter without an electrical charge giving it a longer service life than standard filters. Upfront costs may be greater, but savings will be seen in system efficiency as well as less frequent replacement parts overall.
