Smoke

When a material goes through combustion, a byproduct is released into the air called smoke.

Smoke can come from fires, tobacco, car exhaust, incents, stoves, candles, fireplaces and wood burning stoves.

You need to reduce your amount of exposure to smoke as it can contain harmful, even deadly, amounts of chemicals like:

  • formaldehyde
  • carbon monoxide
  • carbon dioxide
  • sulfur dioxide
  • cyanide
  • ammonia
  • and many more!

The best way to reduce your exposure is to remove the source of pollution, however, if that is simply not possible, an air purifier is the next best thing.

In order to remove smoke from the air, you must use a carbon filter air purifier. Carbon filters will actually absorb smoke particles and chemicals through a chemical process.

Examples of Smoke Air Purifiers:

Lung cancer from second hand smoke is the cause of 3,000 deaths in nonsmokers each year. It's time to take action and get rid of that smoke in your home!
