Technology
The HEPA and Charcoal filter system will trap particulates and adsorb toxic gases, organic hydrocarbons, exhaust fumes, formaldehyde, benzene, toluene, cleaning chemicals, unpleasant odors and paint solvents. This cleaning method is complemented by the photo catalytic oxidation, negative ions output and trace amounts of ozone from the UV Germicidal lamp to destroy all living bacteria, germs, viruses and mold in the air and all surfaces. Note that the D-2000 includes a non-washable prefilter, charcoal filter and HEPA filter while the D-2100 includes a washable Pre-Screen filter, HEPA and Charcoal filters.

VOC's: Volatile Organic Compounds are compounds that have high enough vapor pressures under normal conditions to significantly vaporize and enter the atmosphere. When the level of these compounds gets high in the air, they can be extremely hazardous, and are often referred to as air toxins. These compounds may be the smallest of air contaminents, but they can also be the most harmful.

Molds/Bacteria/Viruses: These are 3 different types of microscopic life forms that can be easily spread through the air. A normal person is attached by these tiny beasts countless times every day. Charcoal Filtering: Activated carbon, or activated charcoal, is a form of carbon that has been processed to make it extremely porous to thus have a very large surface area available for absorption or chemical reactions. PCO: Photocatalytic Oxidation (PCO) is an advanced technology that uses a complicated chemical process. In our case, we are combining UV light with a titanium oxide coated layer.
