Square Feet

Square feet (sq.ft.)is a unit of measurement used to determine the size of an area. Typically associated with the size of a home or room, a square foot is defined by the area of a square with 1 foot sides.

To determine the square footage of a room you multiply the length times the width.

Example: 12ft X 12ft = 144 sq.ft.

Square Footage is important in determining what air purifier is right for you. Some purifiers can only clean less than 200 sq.ft. and some can clean larger than 1000 sq.ft.

When determining what purifier is right for you, the second question you should always ask yourself is what size room will I be putting this in?

The first question, in case you were wondering, would be what concern prompted your search for a purifier? Example:

  • allergies
  • asthma
  • dust on furniture
  • pet dander
  • smoke or household chemicals
